In 1978, Stephen Cheruiyot Seroney planted the first SL34 coffee trees in Fort Ternan, Kenya. What began as a family farm has grown into a legacy of craftsmanship, resilience, and deep respect for the land.
Today, Sumseron honors that heritage while embracing the future of responsible sourcing. We work directly with smallholder farmers and cooperatives across Kenya and Uganda, capturing plot-level geolocation data, verifying deforestation-free status, and ensuring return-to-origin pricing that reflects true value.
Our approach is simple: exceptional coffee should taste better—and do better. Every cup supports reforestation, community empowerment, and a supply chain built on integrity, not opacity.
